Predatory Servicing by Lenders

Predatory servicing is a term used to describe the unfair, fraudulent, and deceptive means employed by lenders and servicing agents after the loan has been executed.

Predatory servicing is generally used where a mortgage servicer improperly interprets mortgage documents to create additional fees to add to a borrower’s account, which create additional events for which foreclosure proceedings can be instituted.
